Well....seventeen days to go now .....Gav and I are at St Katherine's Dock making final preparations. Living here on board has been a great transition period....afloat in the city...quite surreal and wonderful. As soon as I get on board and go below its a different world. Business people walk past on the walkway above on their mobiles in smart outfits....soon I will be looking out on the magical Western Isles.
Went to Waitrose yesterday to buy a few treats that might be hard to find up there to hoard away under Kyle's decks......
Capers, Fresh Ginger, Sake, Sun Dried Tomatoes, Chilli Chocolate, Greek Olive oil, Lemon grass..... We are hoping to catch crabs, lobsters and all sorts of fish ...so I imagine watching the sunset enjoying scallops with fresh ginger and soy with a glass of gently warmed sake????
I am practising Op 130 at the moment.....cant wait to be up there immersed in the quartets.
